I bet if some stranger rolled up on his bike and asked to borrow your wallet, you'd help him out too eh? :)

I wish all cops were this heroic. The ones we have in Kansas City are just lined up on the side of the road with their radar guns. I'm glad to hear that there are at least some left that actually care to help people since that's what they are supposed to be there for.

Ahhh, my tax dollars hard at work.

Wasn't there talk of police not responding to robberies, domestic disputes and cases of auto-theft anymore?

I suppose cell phones ARE pretty important.

I personally think it's awesome they sent a helicopter out. If it's not allocated to something else at the moment, why the hell not? The guy was fleeing the authorities anyway, which has got to (rightly) irritate any cop.

Seems odd - I lived in Santa Clara a few years ago, and when my truck was broken into and $1,500 worth of tools stolen, the cops wouldn't even come out - I had to go to police station to file a report listing stolen stuff, which was a giant waste of my time

Well ya know all is needed is an app to tell the phone to turn on it's ringer and continue until there is no battery left and to do so until told otherwise, like ya phone your phone enter your 5 or 6 number code and it's all over but the shouting, and even putting in a new battery would make no difference, needs the code to stop either remotely or locally entered, now how hard is that ????:)
