Can I upgrade my i5-5200u to i5-6200u or i7-5200u on my Asus VM590L? I'm not sure if it's soldered on but the two are kind of the same so it COULD be upgraded right?
If not, how can I optimize for best performance?

Also, can i5-5200u utilize all 12gb of my RAM, or have I wasted the expansion?
sorry for the many questions. halp pls

Solution
Soldered. Only way to change it would be to replace the entire board.

Sometimes laptop OEMs use a similar shaped board for 2 generations of laptops; sometimes not. For instance, my i5-4210u board is the same board they used for the i7-5500u as well.

Yes, it is soldered, but if I take it to an electronics workshop where there are soldering experts to do the delicate work, is it possible? will the motherboard work properly?
