Corrupt local disk?

So i was restoring my laptop back to a year ago and i left it for a few minutes and when i come back the laptop overheats and shuts down and then an error message comes when im starting my laptop it says i don't have an OS
so i tried reinstalling but it said it was corrupt and i can't reinstall it, and the question is how do i reinstall/restore back my laptop like how it used to be? i

Need more details, exactly what was the message and at what point did it come up. How did you try re-installing, from a Windows disk?
If you want to make sure your files are not deleted, you may want to order a new hard drive for the laptop and use that to install Windows on, you can copy your files from the original using a USB enclosure.
