Hello, so I feel like I have tried a million things and nothing seems to be working.
My laptop (Dell Inspiron 7577) has run perfectly fine for a little over 2 years. I play games, using the adobe creative suite, and did classwork without an issue. Though, recently my games have lagged over time and every time I check, my CPU usage is at 100%. This has rarely happened the last 2 years I've owned it, but recently it has just spiked terribly not allowing me to play games basically.
I have installed and used the dduninstaller, I have run Malwarebytes, I have made sure my laptop is on high-performance power mode, I have done windows offline defender even, and still nothing. Still acting up.
The games I actively play are Battlefront II (2017), Fortnite, Battlefield (V, 1 and 4), Stellaris, and the Total War series. Strategy games seem to run smoother, the really bad frame drops/freezes happen when playing multiplayer.
Specs:
Intel Cor i7-7700HQ 2.80 GHz
GTX 1060 6GB GDDR5
16 GB DDR4-2400 RAM
256GB SSD + 1TB HDD
Thanks for the help!
