CPU upgrade?

Hi I have an Asus G72GX laptop with an Intel Core 2 Duo P8700. I am looking at playing TES Skyrim on this laptop, and they recomended a quad core processor. Would the Intel Q9100 work for me?

Umm all i know is thet it is an Asus G72GX-RBBX05 laptop. Im not really sure what socket type or anything.

But other than that it has a GTX 260m 1GB, 500GB hard drive, 6 gigs of RAM, Intel core 2 duo P8700

ok but the asus site saying that your motherboard only support q9000 2.0ghz where you asking q9100 but i think there would be not much difference you can use q9000 also.

So i cannot use the q9100, only the q1000? Would i see that much of a difference in gaming?

no there wouldn't be a much difference i think only 100mhz don't worry about that this will not boost up games.so the only way is q1000...
