Question Credit card CP insurance vs Carrier based

Hi

I have 2 phones here in NY with Sprint T Mobile
Samsung Note 20 Ultra
and Galaxy s21 ultra

I pay $19 each a month EACH for protection 360

I just got an offer from Chase Freedom Flex for Free Cellphone insurance coverage if I take their card

Is it worth it or safer to stay with my carrier through Assurant?

You'd have to read deeply into the conditions of either plan to see which is 'best'.
Including the conditions regarding the new Chase Freedom card.

But...$456/year? How often do you plan on using this?

Your phone budget and probable use re far beyond mine.

At $450/year, I could replace my and my wifes phone every 6 months, continually. And have money left over.
Obviously, we don't do that...
Our current Galaxy J7 Crowns are coming up on 3 years old, with no need of replacement in sight.


But, you NEED to evaluate all the details of each situation.
