Question critical low battery

my laptop just started to give me the message today..can a battery charge up so the laptop can turn on again or will i have to remove the battery for my laptop to work

Not really sure what you mean, if you get an error about low battery just plug it in, or are you saying the battery is not charging? Need some details here about the laptop, brand/model is the charger you are using original or some cheap clone?
