Ok, fawks. This one is simple. Looking for a budget replacement for my HP Pavilion DV6-1359WM, I stumbled upon a few candidates:
1. Asus X502CA/R512CA (2117U+HD4000 ) $385
2. Lenovo G50-70 (3558U 1.7 + HD4400) $390
3. HP 250 G2 (N3510 2.0 X4 + HD4000) 400$

HP is quad and energy efficient, lenovo is haswell and asus has a superb simplistic build and elegant design (have one of those). Although, lenovo is haswell, I doubt that the advantage of a new architecture will be noticeable on a budget series. Which makes ergonomics and design a first priority.

I think YOU should consider buying dell inspiron 15 3542 with a celeron 2955u or pentium 3558u.Because they are haswell processors. Also, their graphics card are also haswell who's performance is somewhere near intel hd 4200 which is quite good.
I am also looking forward to buy it.The Celeron one has same price as the asus laptop u mentioned.

I'll choose from Lenovo G50-70 (3558U 1.7 + HD4400) $390 or HP 250 G2 (N3510 2.0 X4 + HD4000) 400$. HP looks more stylish, has quadcore CPU, faster cpu clock, twice energy efficient, but Lenovo is Haswell, ram clocks faster, better GPU and little cheaper. Plus HP tends to have cooling issue.

Giving another thought, slightly better performance is not worth extra $200. I'm not a gaming kind anyway. Thus, I'll go for not any more than $400. Most prolly Ideapad G50-70 or Asus R512.
