Budget:
$1500-2000.... a little as possible please
Hey guys,
I'm a desktop guy, you guys helped me build mine a few years back. I was curious if anyone would be able to help me pick a good laptop out for my mom. So my mom has an old mac book air and Its really starting to slow down. I've convinced her to move over to the world of windows and the lights have shined.
The only issue is that she is sort of picky. I'm thinking that we need a 15" screen, it will be used for work presentations, web searching, and typing work documents... Yeah simple.
I also think that 8gb of ram would be a good place to go just because it wouldn't hinder her if she keeps a lot of programs open, which she tends to do. I can't monitor her 24/7😉.
Processor, maybe a quad core i3 or i5? That way it will last for years. Windows 7 or 8, whatever will be least foreign. I have no experience with 8 that's why I ask.
Graphics card, yeah just something that has crisp quality for presentations and so she can read it easily.
For the Hard Drive let's try to go around 1tb if possible.
So basically the things that she is picky about is that it needs to be as light and slim as possible, preferably a backlit keyboard, and then it's got to have pretty good battery life... pretty good...
Let me know if you have any ideas, I'm looking around but I'm not too good with laptops at all.
Thanks everyone for the help in advance,
Mathew
