Dell Inspiron wifi hardware (f2) button broken

Hi
The wifi hardware button (f2) is broken on my dell inspiron and neither f2 or the wifi hardware work if i click it. Im wondering if there is a way to turn on the wifi hardware from the computer when it is on as opposed to using the wifi hardware button.

Did you try keeping the 'Fn' key pressed, and then pressing F2?

yea, i have tried fn+f2 and still doesnt work. I did already set the function buttons as auto so i did not have to press fn but i tried both ways and nothing has worked...
