You cannot connect a laptop that doesn't have WiFi to anything that requires/uses WiFi. The laptop would have to have a working WiFi card.

If it somehow either doesn't have an internal one, or the internal one isn't working, you would then have to get yourself an external WiFi card (which plugs into the USB port) and use that to connect to WiFi.
