my dell laptop turns on and the fan spins only for a few seconds any ideas?

Is your Dell running on battery or connected to the AC adapter when this happens? Has this system been dropped or damaged?

What specific model is your Dell?

Nut sure, but i bought a new bottom case. Dell P368Gthe light come on but the no display and the fan stops working after 4 seconds

Is this your system?

Is your power supply connected when all of this happens? Why did you replace the bottom case?

the bottom case was cracked , its connected its not mine fixing it up to sell it

Did you just have to replace the bottom part of the shell, or did you have to completely disassemble to perform the change?

Are there any LEDs lit to indicate power to the system?

I had to disassemble the whole thing

Seems you missed something during the change. This means opening back up and double checking pretty much everything.
