Dell laptop problem

I have Dell laptop , When I plug the adapter on to the power jack . The adapter green lights turn off ,it does not turn on at all? . I replaced the power jack ,but still doing this . Is it from the holes or some of the components ? Can somebody help me ..

What do you mean it won't boot? Does it show a Dell screen than freeze, or does it not turn on at all?

It doesn't turn on .

ok, I'm starting to think you might have reset it by a hard turn off. It's kind of common with PC's. just pull out your BIOS battery. If that doesn't work, then it might just be the battery.
