Dell XPS 15

Hello!
I have some concerns about the Dell XPS 15. People have been saying their battery life is horrible. Is this true? Also, which Dell XPS 15 configuration is best for gaming (Minecraft, TF2) and school? (Web browsing, word processing) I don't really need a 4K display, just enough gaming performance and a long battery life.

Get one with the Geforce 960M, i5 and 1080p screen. That will give you the best price/performance ratio and do everything you want to do. I own the fully-loaded version and honestly, the extra price isn't really worth it.

I,myself, have been interested in this xps 9550 as well, but have opted to sit on sidelines and see if numerous bugs/issues sorted out first. It seems Dell has perhaps caught up with a lot of the unacceptable issues (for ultra premium price point) this product was rushed to market before stable (for holiday season)

*** Do note that opinions and tests prior to latest Feb 2016 fixes may not reflect recently (alleged) improved corrected battery run time.

Do note, IMHO avoid the 4k version at all costs!
Be certain to opt for configuration with larger 84whr battery - may require an i7 cpu to get non 4k, 1920 resolution, with upgraded 84whr battery.
