Hello, I'm looking for a laptop that can easily work with heavy files. renderings,3D models photoshop and auto cad.

At least 17 inches screen with good resolution.
The lightest possible (i'll use it as a desk top connected to screens but need to move it for traveling)
I care about heat production (I have this old hp and its impossible to use it on your lap nor put anything close to it)
I don't care about gaming or video production
Files will be stored in a server so no need to have lots of space. mostly for the programs.
Budget is around 1,500 $

In general, need the fastest, lightest, computer there is.

I know this subject has been already touched but haven't exactly found what i'm looking on past threads.
any recommendation will be much appreciated.

First that comes to mind is the Dell Precision 7000 lineup. While their consumer driven models kinda suck for power, the workstation line has gotten a lot of praise. Lenovo also has a good name in the field, along with HP. MSI has dipped their toe in to it as well so I've only heard bits and pieces. Judging from the Dell Precision line up we have for CAD classes at the school I work in, I'd say start there for sure.
