First off my situation is that I'm moving from USA to another country overseas (NZ) for at least a year and taking my desktop with me isn't possible. I do mainly online gaming with FF14 (possibly FF15 in the future). I am looking to future it within reason so it possibly will be relevant for 3 years. Building it in NZ with parts isn't a option for me or I would.

1. What is your budget? Up to $2500 but I do have some leeway to go a bit more for good price/performance ratios.

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
Well I'd like something that can still fit in a backpack.

3. What screen resolution do you want? 1080p at least but wouldn't mind getting 2k or 4k but as long as that's a option for a external monitor (in future) it's not a deal breaker (but great inclusion)

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
As earlier said desktop replacement due to moving but portability is something I strongly consider as well.

5. How much battery life do you need? non gaming mode 4 hours+ fine but 6-8 hours would be ideal.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? Yes I'd like to get high settings for FF14 possibly medium settings or better for FF15 in future.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.) video calls, chat, watching movies, wouldn't mind trying some editing in future for fun trying to make AMV, lots of word and excel use (but any laptop can handle that), music but I mainly store that on my phone.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? I'd like at least a 250 gig ssd but as long as total storage is over 1TB (terabyte) it should be fine.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links
.
Newegg.com
Amazon.com
website directly: dell, asus, hp
Open to any suggestions here ^^.

Main thing is trying to get laptop before 30th of this month (live in US)

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop? 3 to 5 years I know that's a lot but I tend to make my hardware last around that long and still be relevant. (Given 2 year major update cycles with cpu/gpu I think it would be fine)

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ? as long as I can stream it that's fine but as long a optional external blueray is possible (either to purchase now or later) that's fine.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
Dell because of what I've seen brand wise but I remember they had some low quality issues years ago but they did get alienware (though that's super high end branding at least in desktops before they got bought by Dell)
Toshiba I've had long long ago and did very well haven't checked their gaming options...
Asus and HP as gaming laptops off the top of my head.
I'm not tied to any one brand as long as long as it's good quality laptop and reputable company and warranty.

13. What country do you live in? currently in US but moving to New Zealand September 1(so 2 weeks) so please keep this in mind.

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
Its going to be my all on one gaming and desktop. I do want mobility but first thing is making sure it has fully functional word/excel/etc.
Availability to get in a certain time period is critical.
I know laptop can do that much I just want to get something that can be medium-high to high quality in gaming as well.

Big haul in a short time but any advice (direct or indirect) is appreciated. :)
