can i put a desktop 120 ssd with a laptop 1tb hdd is there laptops SSDs or are they the some.

Almost all SSD drives are the same form factor - 2.5". It will work.
The only time you might have a problem is with an ultrabook, and the typical 2.5" drives are 9mm thick, and some ultrabooks can only handle 7'5mm thick drives.

so if i brought this now would i be able to upgrade the 25GB ssd to a intel 120 GB ssd
