DHCP Lease

I currently have a 7000 series gateway laptop, and a asdl 768kbs internet service, and it seems as though the connection continues to shut off after a certain amount of time...Is there any possiblility that somebody could tell me how to extend the lease time on an ActionTEC GT704WG Wireless Router. Any links would be just as appreciated.

In most routers, there are setting for LAN & WAN which is refered to as lease time. Found in the basic LAN setup sections. Most cases the WAN is set by the ISP. Some clear connections on a regular basis.
