Excuse me? More funding? We don't need our tax dollars to go to helping other people watch TV. They shouldn't have given the coupons in the first place. If someone wants to watch television that badly they can afford themselves a converter. If they can't afford it, there are plenty of other ways to get news and other than news TV is just for entertainment which is unnecessary.

I agree. Unless you live in Florida where TVs are used for the emergency warning systems for hurricanes. Or in Cali where they are used to warn residents about spreading local wildfires or in the aftermath of an earthquake. Or if you live in tornado alley where tvs are used as an early warning system for tornadoes.
