i got a motorized ku dish
the reciever and tv and down in the basement
when the 2500a moves the dish around, theres no status light or indicator to
tell me when its moving
any ideas how i can buy or make a pass through box with a led to indicate
when the thing is moving?

Usually the signal disappearing is enough.. :)

I know when it looses signal that's obvious
lets say I am pointed east and program a new sat in that's way west, I wait
for a few minutes, but never really sure when it gets there.

What would really be cool is a pass through box with a motor activity led
and buttons to manually move left and right and change polarization, For
when looking at analog stuff

I understand what you are saying. I suggest you get a spectralook. It
is awesome to see the spectrum on the TV when looking for new sats.

This is an example:

I only paid $99 for mine, so I think these guys are high but you get
the idea.

You can also look at the Vbox2, but it would be a bit redundant since
you have a 2500a.
