Question Do I need a new laptop

I have a Lenovo idea and 710 .

Is 12gb of ram , 2gb graphics card ,932gb storage ,Intel ( R) core (TM) I7 - 4700MQ @ 2.40 this is my current laptop , battery life gone and its slow .
what laptop should i buy to replace this one . I would like a long battery use and life and good speed i like photography and editing photos ,making slide shows with my photos with music and effects .
I do have a screen shot of the specs . Thanks in advance
