Question Do you need the numeric pad on your laptop?

It feels like I'm the only one in the world who doesn't want a numeric pad on my laptop. There are almost no larger models (15/16 inch) available without one.

Does anyone still use the numeric pad? And for what? If it's for typing a lot of numbers, you might want to consider automation ;).

There are also drawbacks to having a numeric pad: the keyboard isn't properly centered, causing your wrist to rest on the mouse pad, and you might not be sitting directly in the center of your laptop.

Maybe someone can help me find a larger laptop without a numeric pad. Only MacBooks and some other high-end models come without one (why is it more expensive to build without a numeric pad?). The most affordable option seems to be the XPS16, but that keyboard has its own issues.

I'm curious about your responses. Am I really the only one?
And does anyone have a suggestion for my next laptop?

Cheers!
Slowy.
