Does a v1.3 compliant hdmi repeater only work on v1.3 or does it work on v1.4 aswell?

Does a v1.3 compliant hdmi repeater only work on v1.3 or does it work on v1.4 aswell?

It would probably work but not support the additional features of 1.4 which include audio return channel and 3D. Only way to be sure is to try it.
