Solved! does anyone know why my bluray player works on one tv but not another with same hdmi lead

my bluray player will work fine on one tv but not the other with the same hdmi lead. when i switch it to the tv it will not work on the tv picks up the input but will not display anything and the name changes from bluray player to pc

Make sure that the video resolution setting of the BD player is compatible with the TV

Check that the HDMI input is working with a different source.

Try a different HDMI cable.
Try a different HDMI input on the TV.
HDMI requires the source - cable- input combination to work correctly for you to get picture and sound. That means that even if the source - cable work on one TV it might not work on another.
