Does connection laptop to tv flatscreen improved games?

I came across to an article with tips on how to improve game performance.. the article says connecting laptop to tv improves the game performance even you are on low end laptop is this true? or i will just break my laptop??? thanks

The answer is NO, when it comes with gaming it all depends on the processor, graphics card and memory the display is just a bonus of your gaming experience.
