Don't getting any notification

I have samsung galaxy S4. I have problems about notification. I don't receive any notification from any application. Like if I go to gmail and refresh it, only after that i got notification. I dont receive any notification at a time when i switch on my data network. Please help me. Thank you.

You should be able to change your notification options in the system settings. You might have just turned them off.
