They do in the Replay guide (that's for your recordings, not for
buffering live TV). You need to be watching live, then press 'pause'
to get a "pause time remaining" display.

The buffer (for pausing live TV) operates in High Quality, regardless
of any other settings, and that is how it calculates time remaining.
I just checked it on my 5080. The record default is set to Standard,
and all recordings on the unit are Standard (there's seldom any need
to use higher). The pause time is still calculated for High
(approximately one-third the time available in Standard, according to
the Replay guide).
