Dual graphics performance?

I have the Aspire V3-551g and i feel though i am either not usinf dual graphic right or something is bottle necking the performance here are my specs:

A6-4400m
7520g+7670m
8gb ddr3 1333mhz
500gb hdd 5400rpm

Games i've tried: Dirt 3
bfbc2

Also it appears the games have appliction profiles i can use in crossfire mode but those dont seem to help.
Even running dirt 3 without crossfirex and just the 7670m still i get poor performance. i think it may have to do with not having 1600mhz ram... help me! ): And i know about notebookcheck so please dont post or quote from than , thanks!

you didn't write what settings you used and what FPS you get

Dirt 3 benchmark dual enabled: avg 25

Dual disabled: 28

Settings high 2x aa. Withough aa i get bout the same fps. ):

The problem here is that Dual-graphics doesn't see to be working properly. How high end this machine is or isn't and its form factor are irrelevant for this. The HD performance that you mentioned is also irrelevant for this.

Some games don't benefit from hybrid crossfire setups some it actually hurts performance. When you look at benchmarks on notebookcheck in Dirt showdown the 7670m outperforms the combo of the 7520g and the 7670m, however this could also be due to the difference in the cpu used in the tests. But from what the data is telling me with or without the hybrid crossfire your setup is not going to run very many games at high settings most only have playable FPS at low and medium settings.

Perhaps you should try using PSCheck to increase Core 0's performance and lower Core 1's performance. Maybe it will relieve any possible CPU bottle-neck a little and see if that's what's going on.

I would run it with the onboard ( onchip ) disabled. run the card separately alone........... and not have great expectations.

I have Dirt 3 and a dual graphics setup on my rig, so speaking from experience, the reason you are not getting good performance is that the two gpus performances are too far apart to alternatively render frame in the fashion that crossfire requires to work. If It makes you feel better, even if it worked well the mircrostutter would be really bad.

not through the device manager, from the BIOS.......... see what happens........... i guess it would be switchable you want to keep.. ?? wish I was able to look at how it's all set up.

but I thought it was supposed to be an option to use "switchable from a desktop option somewhere.. ?? been a while since I read on that. Never did like laptops and lost interest in the finer details. but the information is still out there.

then why on earth would they set it up as dual graphics? -.- do you think it will become better with driver updates?

1600MHz memory should help somewhat.
