Dvd Plug in to Smart TV

I have a Vizio smart tv and am wondering how to connect DVD player. The player has an AV output, and TV doesn’t have AV but has shared component. Would that work?

What TV model?

TVs nowadays have RCA in the form of 3.5mm jacks with extra rings to adapt. Your TV should have come with one. Need to know exact TV to be sure.

For this to work just need AV to 3.5mm adapter. Will probably need two so you can take audio to L/R input to TV and another same cable for video Component/ Composite.

Doesn't say the cables are included so get a couple of these. For video just leave one of the RCA ends dangle unless you can find a single AV to 3.5mm cable.

You will need the adapter above for the L/R audio jack and a different one for the component/composite video jack. The TV manual will tell you how to set it for composite.
Or just get a DVD or blueray player with HDMI. The picture quality will be better.
