Question Ebay purchase of phone?

I am looking at getting a midrange Samsung or Motorola smartphone.Is it a bad idea to purchase one from ebay or should i just stick with Amazon?

I bought phones off eBay before, really depends on the seller and the specific phone you get. If it's a new one I may stick with Amazon or another actual retailer, it's a bit easier to work with Amazon for refunds.
