Error while starting Pc

Hello,
I am unable to start my DELL laptop, getting error no bootable device, I've run the diagnostics which comes on the screen but still no help. And i have this 2nd hand laptop,so dont have any Cd's as well

You're hard drive crashed, or its missing the hard drive entirely.
