Existing surround sound to wireless speakers

can i hook up wireless speakers to my existing surround sound? it is about 4 years old.

Yes but how will depend on the connections you have on your surround sound and what is required by the transmitter. Probably need line level outputs. If you don't have these then you can use a speaker to line level adapter.
