Solved! FaceTime quality comparison (viewing)

I am currently using an IPad mini 2 for FaceTime in quarantine and the person on the other end is using the new IPad Air so their FaceTime camera is amazing quality. I want to get the best viewing experience so would a new IPad (2020) basic model make the viewing a lot clearer?

The iPad Mini 2 is fairly old and there have been improvements to the iPad cameras since then. You're likely to certainly notice an improvement with a newer model. The best thing to do however, would be to check one out at a retail location and see for yourself before purchasing.
