I bet this is how it works, Apple is outsourcing to Foxconn in China, Apple charges Foxconn 50dollars per ipad. Then Apple charges the dumb consumers 500dollars making a huge profit margin.

Meanwhile, Foxconn prints ipads like paper, sells it to a blackmarket network in China 100dollars per ipad making twice the money Apple pays them. Then the blackmarket puts it on sale to consumers for 200dollars for the same product.

Honestly, I don't know who the bad guy is.

If this is true, they are selling devices that don't pass QA. I would not be shocked to find out that Foxconn is intentionality breaking a number of devices or reporting devices as broken that are not. One other note, Apple has slightly better margins than other computer companies, but not as big as you think.
