[citation][nom]chripuck[/nom]Smoking kills skippy, alcohol does not at least not to the level of emphezyma/lung cancer. I grew up with religous parents and there was plenty of alcohol commercials on back then. They saw it and they told me about the dangers of alcohol when I asked. I still remember hearing my first cuss word in a movie when I was 9. Dad sat me down afterwards and explained to me why I shouldn't use that language.Shielding your children only makes them socially handicapped. I should know, my wife was extremely shielded growing up and had a really hard time her first few years of college.[/citation]
If your wife wasn't shielded would she have ever went to college? Would she even want you for a husband? I suggest you thank her parents. Appreciate you both had parents who care because no one else in this world will.

When your parents die will you care? When you die will your children care? Care to be a parent takes more than being the average college socialite. I'm not a religious parent but just one that cares.

I been though college and everyone likes to act unshielded. The truth is most every college student that stays in college was shielded. Those truly unshielded children tend to take college life one step to far or shield themselves. Those who shield themselves are the ones who are unwilling to talk about their family.

You have no ideal what socially handicapped is until you find someone that brings per hell to everyone they meet.
