If it was me I would get the first one with the 17 inch monitor. it has higher resolution, which will look better and a quad core. The downside is the higher resolution will make the GPU work harder. That and the quad core processor are the big difference between the 2 and more games are multi-threaded and will take advantage of that quad core CPU.
