[citation][nom]soldier37[/nom]Why is the crapbox still being made, garbage outdated console give me a break! Arguing over a HDMI cable being included when you can order one on Amazon for $1.78 wake up people, invest your money is a real gaming platform medium or high end PC platform or a PS3 at the least.[/citation]

Although you have an opinion, and I respect that, I would like to remind you to not tell us what we should be buying, if someone buys the xbox and they're happy with it, then by all means it was an excellent purchase.

HDMI cables should be included...
WHile you may be able to pick up a decent HDMI cable from AMAzon for $2, local shops will sell them for $50-100. The cheapest HDMI cable at even my local Wal-Mart is $40.
So, Microsoft, include the cable please, it makes people happy.

[citation][nom]acegmr[/nom]The 360 is a p.o.s. For the $600 i paid for the ps3 i got a blu-ray, wireless connectivity, larger HDD, rechargable controller, FREE online play, and oh yea the fact that since release i have not had 1 problem with my ps3 where as my 360, constant disk read errors and RRoD.[/citation]

I really do laugh at anyone who considers the PSN to be a selling point for the PS3. Or thought they were getting a good deal by buying a PS3 for $600.

Last weekend, I bought an Xbox 360 Elite w/ 2nd wireless controller for $327 after taxes. Prior to that, I was solely a PC gamer, despite also have a Wii. So far my experience has been very positive. The graphics generally are BETTER than my PC in terms of consistent frame-rates. I tried playing Guitar Hero 3, Guitar Hero World Tour, Guitar Hero Aerosmith, and Frets on Fire both on my desktop and HTPC. In all cases, the scrolling graphics were just not smooth enough. On the 360, I already have RB Beatles, GH Smash Hits, Rock Band, and GH5. The graphics are silky smooth and now those games are actually fun. You can chalk it up to bad ports or whatever, but sometimes the reason for something occurring doesn't matter of it still happens.

Sure, I thought about the PS3. I went on the advice of my friends that the 360 was better for gaming, while the PS3 was better for other types of media. Since I already have a HTPC w/ Radeon 4650, Blu-ray or other media capabilities on a game console don't interest me. One of the reasons I got the 360 was because I want to get Project Natal whenever it comes out. I bought the thing for games. If I want blu-ray, I'll use my HTPC or buy a stand-alone blu-ray player for $70.

I know I'm digressing, but it seemed like none of the previous posts had anything to do with the article anyhow.

Ha ha LOL, I am getting a next gen console when FF XIII but it sure is hell is not going to be a Crapbox 360. I will get a Blue Ray player at the time too and not have to worry about the RROD or pay for online play either. F you MS.

Here Here, Ditto dude. The Crapbox is just that, a kiddie console piece of crap and a rip off.

Nice boundle... but.... who are they going to sell it to?

Old final fantasy fan?.. most of them already either have XBox360 or PS3

For the person who needs another Xbox360 to replace the old one?

For who have too much money to burn and like to collect special Edit Xbox360?

Current Wii player?... hmm... maybe...

PC player? hmm.... sure... but many of them may already have a Xbox360/PS3 already... if they were not interested in console gaming...I doult FF13 is going to change their view too much...

So.... who are they selling them to? I am really not sure...

Look it's all a matter of preference. Each platform has it's own features that make it the ideal choice for whoever chooses it. It does seem that the 360 is the platform that has what more people want since it sells more. If you have a PS3 or high end PC that's fine too. I happen to prefer the 360 because of the exclusive games, the content I use on Live, and most importantly because I bought the VGA cable and can play in HD on my PC monitor. I would be thrilled however to also have a PS3 or a PC running two high end graphics cards, an i7, and 8GBs of DDR3!

They're selling it to A: Someone who has a high end PC, may like FFIII, and is ready to start gaming on consoles and wants a high end 360. B. Someone who has a PS3 and wants a high end 360. C. Doesn't have any new gaming platforms. D. Someone who has a Wii and wants what the 360 offers. E. Someone who needs a new 360 because their's broke, was stolen, was their family member or roomates who moved out etc... or F. A Collecter.

or they might want to upgrade their cuurent 360 and then keep the old one for LAN parties or another person in their house etc..., give it as a gift or give it to someone, or sell it, etc...

Ok guys I just recently tried to go back and play Gears of war and Lost Planet on my 360. I got to say right now, that both of those games run better by a long shot on the PC(if you have a decent one that is) the packet loss is alot less, and it costs no monthly fees. BTW I use a controller in these two games as well, since I use my HDTV for my computer monitor, and video game console display.

In Lost planet any time there is an abundance of plasma grenades going off the 360 takes a dump, and drops to somewhere in the 10-15FPS range. On the map "Island 902" when the bridges get knocked down, the same thing happens. On my PC it does not happen.

With GOW things are not so bad, but still highly noticable. To this day GOW 1 on the PC still looks alot better than GOW 1/2 on the 360. While playing online you can see your ping, so atleast if the game your in is really laggy you can leave and find a server with a lower ping. The biggest difference I think though is the fact that the controller in GOW 1/2 on the console kinda feels clunky, or not as smooth/responsive as it should be. No problems at all with the 360 controller on the PC, smooth as butter.

The community on the PC is alot more mature as well. No screaming 12 year olds. FTW! Now I will admit that the community is alot larger on the consoles, but really as long as you have people to play with, that's all that matters.

Flame me if you want, but all I'm doing is stating facts. I had about 10-15 of my good buddies from the 360 switch to the PC over the last year, and not one of them has gone back yet. We have been playing GOW, UT3, Lost Planet Colonies, MW2, Dirt 2, and soon to be AvP, and Battlefield BC 2.

Oh ya I forgot to mention that the PC is NOT just a gaming console. It has alot more uses than just games. lol

Oh ya and I forgot to mention...Most of the players that play GOW on the PC came from the 360. Most of them came with their clans. They got sick of the laggy BS they had on the console version, and now play "the way it's meant to be played". Pardon the pun. lol

I really wish that if you bought a particular game on one system then you would be able to play it (if available) on any other system. If I were buy GOW 1/2 for the Xbox 360, I should be able to play the PC version as well rather than buying the same game twice.

This past week I got Assassin's Creed 2 for the Xbox 360. I played Assassin's Creed 1 all the way through on my PC. My memory may be a bit clouded, but it seems like the PC version was a little sharper. Then again, the monitors I was using were different.

I really don't understand everyone slamming the 360 and praising the PS3. It seems to me that the GAMES do not run as well on the PS3 as they do on the 360. But then again, they all look basically the same to me. If you want to talk about features beyond games (like a blu-ray player), that's fine. But, I have read quite a few articles that indicate that game performance is better on the 360 and that developers are able to maximize game performance on the 360 more so than the PS3.

I expected to get my 360/Splinter Cell bundle on the day of the Splinter Cell release but alas i still don;t have it and EB Games has no info on arrival.. Now i remember why i got rid of my old 360....
