We should get some cool pictures of Pluto in 2015 when New Horizons makes it out there. All that money and they didn't put a damn color camera on board! Hi-res B&W and infrared only :(

[citation][nom]DM0407[/nom]It's not a planet its a prototype of Nvidia's next GPU.[/citation]

Well according to Moore's law (which is just an observation really) if the trend of exponential growth in computing power continues very very far into the future (I don't know how far- 200 years perhaps??), then eventually we would have to consume the resources of entire planets in order to keep up with the trend.

So maybe one day an NVIDIA 'GPU planet' will be on the cards :)

More likely Moore's law will end.

[citation][nom]SevenVirtues[/nom]I love the last paragraph, you get that when astronomers need something to day, at the end of the day the planet could be just like earth. 90% of things we are taught about space, distant planets, black holes etc. is all guess work.[/citation]

Yeah, those guys with dual PHDs in physics and cosmology are pretty much just making things up without any data or peer-review.
