Fix Facebook Network Error

With over 2 billion active users, Facebook is the most popular social network in the world. A lot of those users also use the mobile version of Facebook, which unfortunately can have problems depending on your phone, especially after updates.

One of those problems is the network error. This nasty little error can happen when trying to login to your account via mobile and is usually present after an update to the Facebook app. There can be many causes for this and no one can be sure what the exact cause is. Still, there are a few things you can try that worked for a lot of users, so without further ado, here’s how you can fix Facebook network error.


    ■ Let’s start with a simple one. Open Settings on your phone.

    ■ Find your Wireless settings, should be WLAN or Wi-fi, it all depends on your phone.

    ■ Find your network and tap on it. Then find and tap on Forget network. Again, depending on your phone you might need to tap and hold or tap on the small arrow next to your network to get the Forget network option.

    ■ After you do that, now find the desired network and type the password, and see if the issue is fixed. If not, you can try the following.

    ■ In Settings find and tap on Apps, Application Manager or Installed apps depending on your phone.

    ■ Find and tap on Facebook.

    ■ Now tap on Clear cache and Clear data. Check if that fixed your problem, if not you can also try uninstalling the updates or completely removing the app and then installing it again.

    ■ If you still have problems, the issue might be with your router configuration, particularly with the IPv6 configuration. Try disabling it or tweaking it and if all else fails, you can look for help Facebook support. Good luck.
