Flashing blue power light Hitachi Plasma

I have a Hitachi Plasma model #P50S601 that was working fine and then lost the picture with the power light, which is typically a solid blue when on, turning to a flashing blue. I take the power cord out and then turn it back on and it appears that the picture attempts to return for a split second but then reverts to a black screen with the light returning to a flashing blue. I read somewhere else on here that this could perhaps be a board issue. Would anyone have any suggestions or recommendations? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Blue blinking light occurs when TV is receiving IR signal from remote.

Maybe the remote is acting up. Pull its batteries and see if that makes a difference.

If not, double check your set up and connectons, go through the trouble-shooting sections and contact Hitachi if and as warranted.
