For a few months now, I've had an issue on my Alienware 14 where when I open the lid and revive it from it's hibernate mode, there will be an area in the top and bottom left corners of pixels that flicker and are discolored, and I can also see the imprint of whatever was going on on my laptop before I closed it, be it my desktop or the leftmost tab that was open on my chrome browser. When I log into windows, the discoloration isn't as noticeable but the flickering is still slightly there, and gradually goes back to normal after a few mins. I'm noticing that as time goes on, the area of flickering pixels is starting to spread as I open the lid, making me think I should just keep my laptop open forever. Also if my computer is off and I open the lid then turn it on, there's no flickering pixels.
I do have two graphic cards (intel integrated and nvidia dedicated), and the issue happens when I have both on or just integrated (if I try to switch to dedicated only by switching off integrated in device manager, the whole screen goes black). Both graphics cards are currently up to date. I don't notice this issue in gaming or anything else, only for the first few minutes of opening the lid and waking up the laptop. And as luck has it, my warranty expired maybe a few days before this issue started happening. So I can't send it back to have it fixed.
Does anyone know what the issue may be, and if there's any way I can fix it?
