I have Dell d620 laptop. Its Fn button is not working. Can anybody help me that how to correct it?

Lol, I was just thinking which F'n button too...

Seriously tho, get a can of compressed air and thoroughly spray out the keyboard area, focusing around that key. A crumb or something may have gotten stuck under the key, preventing it from making contact on the way down.

Then it is time for an RMA.

Can u try to reset to factory default (OS and everything) usually most laptop had that...

u will lost all the data so backup first.....

actually when i bought out from the guy, he installed windows 7 for me but this button was not working. Now I installed windows XP but still it is not working

so you bought a laptop with a broken key. may i ask how much you paid for it?

I had friend that just destroy the partion in the laptop hdd, just for the sake of installing new os....

The Fn key stop working after that, it was fine before he clean sweep the hdd...

Since he also del the os backup partition, so i'm cannot try it myself.
but i got a huns that by deleting some partition is the cause, the Fn key somehow connected to those partition or os..

I'm still recommend if u try restoring the original os from factory backup partition...
(there should be some key need to be pressed at post screen F1/F2/etc...)

If the partition is not there anymore then end of luck....

Try a USB keyboard on the laptop. If that works, buy a replacement keyboard for the laptop. They aren't too hard to change on most laptops.
