Fn key on laptop not working

hi
i cannot type in my lattop without pressing the fn key. if i don't some thing else appear. what can i do to change that?

I think I'd start by looking at Control Panel, Regional and Languages and see if you have the right keyboard language installed for your purposes. Also look on the Taskbar to see if there's an icon there which is connected with changing languages.
