But my two cents if you like to carry around a 200+ lbs you can also go with ProStar (Sager redistrubuter) as they build their systems good at a good price.

All 5400 rpm Hard Drives will put a serious dent on gaming 🙁

Any Hard Drive puts a serious damper on everything all the time no matter what.

SSDs are the only way to go.

Some of the Y500 have a 16 GB ssd cache drive, which helps with the speed. The one I have boots in less than 14 secs.
