A lot of changes have been made in the season 5 and most of them are known by players. But, there are some changes that most of the players don’t know and if they know about them, the game will become cooler for them. So without further ado, let’s see those lesser known changes:
Mario Kart Mechanics:
The Terrain Kart is the 2nd vehicle that is added to the Fortnite. But this one is even better as it comes with the ability to drift. And not just that, but if you hold the drift long enough you will start to see blue sparks that will convert into a boost as soon as you let go. But if you take it a step further and keep on drifting, the sparks will turn yellow so the boost will be bigger. This can go on to red sparks.
Time Trial on New Race Track:
The race track that is recently updated holds a secret Easter Egg that will enable you to race through the checkpoints and set a score. All you need to do is to just hop into the ATK and then ride to the starting line that is on the west side of the track. After a few seconds, the countdown will be started on the display that is below the lights and once it reaches zero, you need to take off.
Mysterious Rifts:
With the season 5 update, the rifts that were once there for a show are now doing something. If you see one, just go through it and you will be transported high above in the sky and will fall at the same area as of the rift. You can deploy your glider when you are falling and travel to somewhere else from there.
Moai Statues:
The season of the Fortnite Battle Royale has brought some Moai statues to the game. You will find them spread across the map. The first area is where the soccer stadium used to be, at the north of Pleasant Park. The second statue is between the Dusty Divot and Loot Lake. The third one is found at the west of Salty Springs at the top of the hill. Fourth is on the hill that is at the west of Lonely Lodge and two more are found, one is at the north of Greasy Grove and the second is at the west.
Vikings on Mountain:
A big mountain located to the northwest of Greasy Grove and to the southeast of the Snobby Shores is fully transformed. Instead of a single house, it has now a big pirate ship and a Viking village with snow on the ground and log cabins as well.
These are some of the notable changes in the season 5 that most of the players don’t know about. But with this guide, you can visit those places and witness the change by yourself.
