Freeze up in 8.1

My computer freezes up every now and then in 8.1 if I leave it for too long. Time seems to vary from very short to a long time. How can I prevent this?

is it a laptop or pc? it may freeze if you have lots of file on the drive where you have installed win 8.1 and if its full.try updating all your drivers.if u dont have an antivirus try bit defender.

if it still dosnt stop freezing then u can try re installing win 8.1
