Freezing and making a funny sounds

When I am watching a movie it freezes up and make a funny noise what can I do

Need much more details, brand / model of computer, online streaming or local movies, what program is used to watch the movies, what have you tried so far if anything? Is it only in movies? Did you test games do a stress test to make sure system is OK and not overheating or otherwise crashing?
