Hello, now the reason I'm typing this is because I would like a 4th?7th? backup plan incase the PC plan fails.
My question is,what is the best NEW laptop under 550$?
This is frequently asked but I never find a good answer, every answer I found is either outdated or on a used/sale item and the laptops are actually about 1000$ and not 500$,so I'm hoping to find an actual answer.
Now there's a few things the laptop needs to have:
8GB RAM minimum. (6GB at the very least.)
A quad core cpu, doesn't necessarily need an intergrated GPU. (I'm not sure if AMD fx-series is desktop only but AMD cpus are very cheap and good the fx-6300 is 55$ and has 6 cores.)
At least 2GB VRAM. (Nvidia is much cheaper than AMD Radeons.)
At least 500GB storage HDD.
Screen size doesn't matter all that much,I'd be fine with about 12".
Battery life not all that important since I'll keep it plugged in,3 hours minimum.
A CD drive, there's no way I'm downloading 351GB on 60kbps-80kbps,a CD drive is very important.
Please no sale/refurbished/used/rebate prices.
Other laptop related questions:
Can you change the storage of a laptop like if I get 500GB now can I change it to 1TB later?
Other questions:
After I'm done with this thread should I post a new one or edit this one and post a comment to "bump" it?
I appreciate the help, thank you for your time.

That looks pretty good, the fact that it only has an intergrated GPU and Dual-Core is kinda disappointing but I guess it is 420$.
I'll be sure to remember that one but for now I want to give it about 2 weeks to see if there's anything better than that.
Again, looks pretty good it's just the dual core is a big let down.
Thank you for your time.

[strike]The following Acer Aspire laptop has a quad core i5-8250u and has a nvidia MX150 dedicated GPU. It states there is 12GB of RAM, but due to the low price I suspect it is a typo and it actually has 8GB of RAM; it comes a 256GB SSD. It is currently on sale for $500. Typically the cheapest price I have seen for a laptop with an i5-8250u CPU, mx150 GPU, 256GB SSD and 8GB of RAM is $600.

https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-Computer-i5-8250U-3-40GHz/dp/B07GWP41M2/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1537901574&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=mx150+laptop&psc=1

You can always scroll down until you see "Have a question?" and ask if the laptop has 8GB or 12GB of RAM. But for $500 the laptop is definitely still worth the price even if it only had 8GB of RAM. [/strike]

This turns out not to be a deal at all. Another look at the $500 Acer laptop reveals that it only comes with 4GB of RAM and no storage at all

========================================================

If you absolute refuse to buy it because $500 is the sale price and not the normal price of $630, then the best option for you would be the following Asus laptop with the i5-8250u CPU, 8GB of RAM, 1TB hard drive and relies on the Intel UHD 620 integrated graphics for $510.

Is there some sort of bug I have on amazon?
Hundreds of times websites and people give amazon links to items and the items end up being way more expensive than the promised price.
For me it says 580$ for the second one,I took a screenshot I'll see if I can upload it on imgur.
Edit:Here it is:https://imgur.com/a/ibTrQLg

As far as I'm aware we don't have any amazon deliveries to here, and I can understand why,it'd probably cost them triple the profit they make off of the item.
I live in Syria,I'm pretty sure India and China make laptops and they're pretty close so I'd imagine the country to country price wouldn't be major especially because when I look up stuff like mice and keyboards on sites like Newegg I only Find 10$+ ones while here you can easily find them for 2$ here.
Most of that was pretty irrelevant,my apologies.

The Acer for $500 with a solid state drive and MX150 video card is a very good buy, it's OK for a low spec gaming system even, the MX150 card is about a 1030 desktop card and to have both that and a solid state for $500 is a deal. It also has a full 1080 screen vs 720 like some budget systems have.

The first leveno doesn't actually look great, don't get me wrong I appreciate you really trying to help but it has a celeron and I currently own a celeron cpu and it's pretty bad,I can barely get 7fps on gta sa and that's a 13 year old game.
That acer looks pretty decent I'll go checkout the link.

Ignore my post above regarding the $500 Acer laptop with the i5-8250u and mx150.

Upon looking at it again the $500 price tag is for the "base model" which only includes 4GB of RAM and no storage device which also means it does not have Windows 10 install.
