Why though? The TV has HDMI.

If you convert HDMI to DVI you will lose the audio.

Not sure that you could. I don't know if DVI has the 5v voltage on it that HDMI has to power the chromecast.
If you don't have enough HDMI inputs it makes more sense to get an HDMI input selector to expand them.
