I have a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition that shuts down randomly. The only way to get it to turn back on is to plug it in. The battery could be at 88% or 24% it really doesn't matter. It just shuts down when it wants. I have changed the battery thinking it might be the culprit.

I understand that, however I am only talking about the turning off issue. If it is doing it randomly, then it should happen even when you cannot play the games. That is if it is a hardware issue. Hence the running from "Safe Mode". Yes you would have limited access, but you would be able to run the tablet to see if the problem occurs.

Unless it is only happening when you are playing certain games.

Did the malware and it found 2 things that were fixed. Did the antivirus which checked out fine. Was on the tablet just now. and it shut down on me again.

Try starting it up in "Safe Mode" and see if it will stay on. If it does, since you already checked for viruses and malware, I would look at apps that are a problem. If that doesn't make any difference then it is back to hardware. I would start with the battery.

To get into "Safe Mode" please do the following.

1. First turn off the tablet.

2. Next press and hold "Power" until you see the manufacturers logo on the screen, then release the power button.

3. "Quickly" press "Volume Down" and hold it for few seconds until you see the message "Safe mode: ON" or something similar.

4. If you wanted disable it, simply repeat the steps above, and you should see "Safe Mode: OFF" rather than on.

Did that, but now I can't access the games that I play since they are on the sd card. It is only a 16gb tablet so I put as much as I can on the 32 th as card.

That is pretty much what I use it for. So I am not sure if it does it on other apps. I will play with it and see what I come up with. I appreciate the hell and patience. I will reply soon.
